The Vince Carter Sanctuary

In 2007, Vince and his mother, Michelle Carter-Scott, donated $1.6 million to the Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation for a new 100-bed substance abuse treatment facility in Flagler County, Florida. The facility is called “Vince Carter Sanctuary” and includes a multipurpose building named in honor of Michelle Carter-Scott.

Mrs. Carter-Scott said, “We all have family that go through tough times … If there’s something we can do to help them get their lives back on track, that would be wonderful.”
