VC’S PINK WALK/RUN ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS!

Vince Carter’s partnered with the Embassy of Hope Foundation, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, and Halifax Health to show how a community can come together to make things better for everyone. With approximately 200 registrants, everyone gathered on Saturday, October 12th at Vince Carter’s restaurant for the third annual Pink Walk/Run. Participants in the 5K went from the restaurant to the Daytona Beach Police Department and back.

Vince Carter’s is owned by Dallas Mavericks star, Vince Carter, and his mother, Dr. Michelle Carter-Scott. As they both are so aware, family, friends, and even a former teammate of Vince’s have lost the courageous battle with cancer. They agree that “whatever can be done to help overcome this dreaded disease must be tried”.

Michelle said, “Cancer has hit too close to home for me. We as a family celebrate survivors; however, our goal this year was to come together as a community and raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause. “

Vince remarked, “Not only are we coming together as a community, but we are having fun, getting exercise, and raising much-needed funds.”

This year’s event raised close to $10,000 to be put back into our community.

Help us thank our sponsors by patronizing them and saying thank you!
