Vince Carter Charity Golf Classic 2013
Sunday, November 17, 2013 was the Embassy of Hope Foundation’s Vince Carter Charity Golf Classic. Once again, golfers came out to enjoy the camaraderie with fellow golfers, the bountiful breakfast and lunch fare, and most importantly to raise funds for women’s and children’s programs and the Embassy of Hope Foundation scholarship fund.
The Simpkins Family Foundation foursome of Jay Crowe, Albert Mlynarski, Tommy Strickland, and Blake Hunter barely escaped with a win, with the Halifax Health foursome of WG Watts, Bill Lea, Dwight Lewis, and Austin Arnelas coming in a close second. The third place foursome was the Daytona AutoMall made up of Bo Trivet, Kevin Kelley, Kameron Gardner, and Dave Maloney, who also won the 50/50 and the Longest Drive. Chris Tolland of Brown & Brown garnered the Closest to the Pin designation.
The golf tournament was another success and we thank our players and our sponsors. Our loyal sponsors and supporters are why Vince Carter’s Embassy of Hope Foundation is able to support so many women and children in our community.
