Embassy of Hope Foundation Food Assistance Giveaway

Due to the ongoing COVID crisis, Vince Carter’s Embassy of Hope Foundation had to break from tradition this year.  Instead of giving out baskets overflowing with food to give to needy families in the community, the foundation distributed food assistance at Christmas with gift cards from Publix Supermarkets.  Distribution was held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Vince Carter Athletic Center on the campus of Mainland High School.  Families drove by and were given a gift card to help them purchase food for their holiday tables.  Vince’s dream of being able to help those less fortunate than himself is still one of his goals, and his foundation continues to work through the difficulties of the past two years to carry help and cheer to others.
