Vince Carter Releases New Website
Dallas Maverick launches new website, VinceCarter15.com, highlighting career and raising awareness for his Embassy of Hope Foundation
NBA veteran, Vince Carter, has launched a new and improved website that takes fans and followers through his journey as an 8 Time NBA All-Star. His new website features photos, video highlights and blogs of his dynamic career, his Embassy of Hope Foundation and youth basketball camps.
Vince has been recognized for his achievements on and off the court ever since middle school. His career soared after stepping foot on the NBA floor as he was named the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year. Vince continued to make his presence felt as he went on to astonish NBA fans at the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. His high-flying act was put on display while playing for the 2000 Olympic Basketball Team as he soared over a seven-foot-two opponent, winning a gold medal that year.
Vince led the Toronto Raptors to three playoff berths, and after joining the New Jersey Nets in 2004, led them to three playoff berths. In July 2009, Vince was traded to the Orlando Magic helping them reach the playoffs in 2010. In December 2010, Vince joined the Phoenix Suns. In 2011, at the end of the NBA lockout, Vince was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, reigning NBA champions.

About Vince Carter
Vincent Lamar Carter was born on January 26, 1977 in Daytona Beach, FL at Halifax Hospital. He attended public and private schools, beginning at age 4, in Deland, South Miami and Daytona Beach. After graduating with honors from Mainland High School in 1995, he went on to play basketball at the University of North Carolina from 1995 through 1998. Vince was among the top five draft picks in the 1998 NBA draft and joined the Toronto Raptors where he distinguished himself in his rookie season. Carter takes great pride in his work off the court through his Embassy of Hope Foundation, assisting children and their families in Florida, New Jersey and Toronto. His mother, Michelle Carter-Scott, and his father, Edgar Scott support him in all of his efforts. Vince has one daughter, Kai Michelle Carter, and three siblings, Chris, Jeff, and Alicia.
